Too Clever is an accepted Krillion answer tier worth 15 points. Krillion describes it as the kind of “obscure” answer that feels clever, but is actually a familiar choice that many knowledgeable players also reach for.

It does not mean your answer was wrong.

Why Did I Get Too Clever?

  1. You avoided the obvious answer

    You skipped the most ordinary Plankton answer. That is a good instinct. It does not automatically place the answer in Rare.

  2. You chose the “obscure answer everyone knows”

    In some categories, one answer comes to mind as soon as someone thinks “obscure.” Many people who know the subject reach for that same pick. That familiar clever choice is the typical Too Clever case.

  3. The answer technically qualifies, but may not behave like a strong rare pick

    Krillion currently describes Too Clever as covering answers that can feel clever or technically valid without fitting the spirit of a genuinely rare pick.
