Rejected answer troubleshooter
Why Was My Krillion Answer Not Accepted?
The short answer
A reasonable answer can still be missing from Krillion's accepted answer set. The official FAQ says this usually happens when a valid source or answer was missed during answer-set curation.

Diagnose your answer
Pick the exact prompt, then check whether your entry appears in the published answer set we have.
A four-step diagnosis
Four checks before you retry
- 01
Did you answer the exact prompt?
“Name a country starting with A” is narrower than “Name a country.” Check every qualifier, not just the broad category.
Open this question → - 02
Is it in the published answer list?
A direct match confirms the canonical entry, recorded score, and official rarity tier for that exact prompt.
Check the published set ↑ - 03
Is there a closely related entry?
A similar database entry is useful evidence, but it does not prove the live validator accepts your wording.
Search similar answers → - 04
Could the answer genuinely be missing?
Yes. Krillion says fair answers can be absent when a source was missed during curation.

Confidence labels
What each result actually proves
- Confirmed by official source
- Answer sets are aggregated and cleaned; a fair answer can be missed when a source is not found.
- Confirmed by our database
- The exact entry appears in public reveal or captured accepted answer data for that prompt.
- Not independently confirmed
- Whether the live validator normalizes a particular spelling, plural, accent, synonym, or formatting variation.
Common rejection scenarios
What “wrong” can mean here
“My answer is definitely real.”
Being factually real and appearing in Krillion's curated answer set are not the same thing. The official FAQ explicitly allows for fair answers to be missing.
“Why isn’t my answer in your database?”
We only mark an answer as accepted when it appears in published reveal or captured accepted-answer data. We do not add plausible answers and label them official.
“Does spelling matter?”
Krillion has not publicly documented the live validator's complete normalization rules. Check the canonical entry, but do not treat a wording difference as a confirmed cause.
Find the recognized answer →“Can I use a synonym?”
Treat a synonym as confirmed only when it appears in accepted answer data for that exact prompt. A related entry is not a live validation guarantee.

Rejected answer FAQ
- Why wasn’t my Krillion answer accepted?
- A reasonable answer can still be missing from Krillion’s accepted answer set. Krillion’s official FAQ says this usually happens when a valid source or answer was missed during answer-set curation.
- Does spelling matter in Krillion?
- Krillion’s public FAQ does not document the live validator’s complete normalization rules. If your wording differs from the published canonical answer, check the recognized entry without assuming that a spelling variant is always accepted or rejected.
- Can a valid Krillion answer be missing?
- Yes. Krillion’s official FAQ says a fair answer may occasionally be absent because a source was missed while the answer set was curated.
- Is this answer database the same as the live validator?
- No. This checker uses published reveal and captured answer data. A match confirms that an entry appears in that published data; only Krillion’s live game can determine what its live validator accepts.
